Hi, It was suggested as part of my Web 2.0 internet marketing strategy to start creating relevant hubpages and squidoo lenses. It was also suggested to use Flickr and Picasa, however, i can not work out how the later two can benefit in terms of internet marketing. Is it possible to use Picasa or Flickr to create keyword anchor text on pages in the same way you can on hubpages? Thanks Jimbob
Flickr brings me massive amounts of traffic. You just need to be smart... and never, ever, ever, ever spam. Only place your link when you feel another regular user (not the site owner) would have also posted a link. You can generate traffic from links on your photos (I do a lot) but they are nofollow. The groups, on the other hand, are dofollow. That's the key. BUT AGAIN! Don't spam! I'm lucky because my site is geared on travel destinations.. So when I visit them and take photos, I post them to related groups and then put a link (with anchor text) below the photo to the article on my site about that particular destination. I'm being useful (not spammy) to the other members of the group as many may wish to learn more/visit that same spot for their own photos. I've also posted article (like you would to an article post site) into group discussion where relevent. TONS of back links and tons of targetting traffic. Examples: http://www.flickr.com/groups/day-trips-canada/ -> My own group in Flickr related to my web site http://www.flickr.com/groups/waterfalls/discuss/72157607349310760/ -> Entire article post http://www.flickr.com/photos/derekp/2754832622/in/pool-day-trips-canada -> Using a link as the photo description
