Flash on a website advice

Help required about doing some flash work for a website.

I have a potential customer who would like all or part of a website built with flash. He is in the sort of industry where flash would be a good show case for his products and he would like to brand himself too.

I don't do flash and I understand that flash is not SEO friendly which is why I mentioned to him a hybrid page of part flash part .htm.

I do not have a budget with him as I don't know where to start with pricing this type of thing up and I am thinking of advising him to turn to specialized designer to do this, but I would also like to keep involved. I think the stuff I do, probably wouldn't do his new website justice. I have a brief from him on what he would like but that is where I end unless I get some advice.

Has anyone had a similar problem or can anyone offer some advice on my problem like average cost (if there is oner) for flash designs, recommend a designer (USA based), I'm in Brooklyn, NY so a person/company close to home would be good.

    Thanks

No I didn't, and thanks for the good call.

As I mentioned I've no real idea about flash and going to the horses mouth first (so to speak) should of been the first thing I did

I'll wait until I'm off the bottom of this page before cross posting to another forum with the same question and wait and see what comes up on this one first.

    Thanks for the input :D

Flash can be SEO friendly - especially utilizing the swfobject method - http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/

You can copy all the content and make a text/menu only HTML page for each "page" of the flash site and have a menu with links on all the pages. I've used this for quite a few sites and none of them have been penalized for "cloaking".

I've also sent you a PM
