My company is currently designing and developing a website entirely in flash. However we want to have a number of the pages behind a login system. Our designer is able to design and code the website but she does not know how to code the login system. I haven't fully decided upon the requirements on the login system but I think it should be pretty simple: 1. There would be an administrator who would create/edit/delete users (username and password). We are considering also being able to set a start and expiration date for each user, but this is not necessary. 2. Define which pages would be behind the login system (either by putting them in a folder, adding code or some other method you could recommend) PM me if you can do this with how much would you charge, how long would it take, any examples you can show and any other information that I would need.
I spoke with my designer. She is building a main swf file and then calling the individual swf files for each page. Please let me know if you can do this, what you would need to do it, how long it would take and how much you would charge.
Im assuming that the login page would be talking to a database via something like PHP? If so - I would be able to handle it for you. Would the admin section be flash as well - or would normal html/php work? Basically in the AS you hit a php page passing the info from the login form - validate using php - then return back to flash and either have the script proceed or retry based on if the username/pass is valid.
