Flash homepage = bad?

Google are improving on how they index flash sites but generally its not a good idea to use flash pages.

 

if you are going to use flash, I suggest just implementing a flash banner or something. Keep the rest of the page for text, etc. here is an example of what i mean.

If you would like to build the entire site in flash you should also have
an html version of the site for seo purposes and for people with a slow
internet connection.

 

Keep the site as much "text" as possible, Still search engines are trying to read "javaScript".

 

Excellent idea. have a flash version and a html version. on your home page have an option to enter a flash version or HTML.

then track your stats to see what is working the best.

 

flash takes lot of time to load, don't have who site made in flash

 

Use some flash in your page for user attraction. But also use content on that page.

 

There is a simple solution - if you want your flash site indexed well - create a sitemap.
