It looks very nice and well-organized. The SignIn feature is nice and should be the standard for all registration sites, but unfortunately is not (see IMDB for an example of how not to do a log in). The thumbnails of the games are the key to making this site work. I've seen too many games sites where they just list the names of games. I think you'll get a lot of views with this site and lots of return visitors. If you're looking for more ad revenue, I suggest an Adsense text link horizontal strip across the top below the header.
Coloring the header and logo with bright color (i.e. red, blue, green etc), not black and white. People play the game for fun, and fun represented by bright color
dislike the color of the background. Can you change it to much dack?I do not think bright color is suitable for game site.
Simple, clean and effective - the sign-in feature is a nice little addition - good job. To elaborate on what Spark mentioned; some people argue that when it comes to flash game sites, a dark theme is preferable, as it makes the sites less noticable when kids are playing them in school while they're supposed to be doing work... Others suggest that a vibrant, busy layout is better as it appeals more to the target audience who will be visiting your site... However in reality its all really speculative - your design will never appeal to absolutely each and every one of your visitors, and theres no definitive proven argument for using a dark theme... Newsgrounds.com has a dark theme and is extremely popular... however Miniclip.com is hugely successful and has a light theme... all people really want is a fast-loading accessible site where they can find good games - everything else is just an added bonus.
You could maybe look at things like RSS Feeds, member profiles, site stats etc Perhaps also give a little more emphasis to the 'social bookmarking/sharing/networking' features on your game pages - let your members do the promotion for you... casual users mightn't be too familiar with how to use an embed code or indeed what it is, so stick a little blurb saying how you can use it to post games on their Myspace sites etc. Maybe even stick a 'tell-a-friend' feature in there. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head - hope it helps or at least provides some food for thought =)
Ok thanks, we currently have memeber profiles http://mostplays.com/profiles/danthorpe2002 What should i use an rss feed for?
Basically to allow your users to subscribe to your feed so that whenever new games are added they are notified - also allows for you to have a quick way to promote your arcade games on other sites too if they allow for feed submission. Not a big deal, but if you're looking for ideas its worth considering
