flash embedding validation woes

    I've been fighting with IE to display flash content that validates and almost got it-1 error on the page:"document type does not allow element "object" here."

    If I could include an object tag OUTSIDE the <head> I'd be golden but unfortunately the flash animation is a piece/chunk/block that goes beneath buttons and graphics so that makes including the other stuff in the head tag impossible. Any ideas to solving the puzzle?
