Flash Banner Issues

    hye forumers..

    let us discuss here about flash banners..

    i'm not really a good flash designer, but what are the criteria to design a good flash banner..and for bandwith issue,how to make it bandwith friendly and not some much frame used..:)maybe some Action script right?

    so anyone have the solution?Any killer designers there?:rolleyes:

    1. Use standard banner widths, either the ones supplied in Flash or those used for gif banners, whichever the website owner wants.

    2. Importing bitmaps should be avoided. They're huge. If you need a photograph as a background, try to reduce quality (depending on the photo, you could go down as low as 50%, but usually use 80%). Do not recompress jpegs.

    3. If you can, draw your seperate images, then group them into a symbol. This becomes one file in Flash. You can make multiple copies in different sizes and colours without increasing filesize.

    4. Use animation tricks like motion blurs and good positioning to remove the need for many drawn frames. Spinning objects don't have to actually spin. Two or three frames of it with motion lines can trick the eye.

    5. Publish as Flash 8 or lower, depending on who the ads are targeted to. Many people didn't upgrade to higher players yet.

    Also try to keep the file size as small as you can to help people with a slow internet connection.
