I'm going to be making a little application that can remember team formations in flash, basically a user drags 11 little icons onto the stage and the application will save their locations so that they can be looked at at any time. Problem is I need the same application to work for various teams. Way I'm thinking about doing it is to output all the X and Y co-ords of each icon to an XML file that'll be saved as a filename that corresponds to the teams unique ID. Passing this ID to the flash file on page load will drag the co-ords for each Icon and display them. Anyone think this is the right way of doing this and/or offer any tips?
