I was wondering how people create those flash site that I see on template monster. Is there an addition animiation program they use in addition to flash or is it just flash for the main part? If it is just flash are there any good tutorial sites to have similar effects. For example this site http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/10347.html. As you can see the little logo is constantly in animation. If these type of things are not done in flash I would like to know what program to use. Thanks for any help
Hi, Yep, those anims are flash alright. The guys n' girls who have got there heads around flash can produce some amazing designs. I don't mind admitting it's way to heavy for me. Take a look at http://www.w3schools.com/flash/default.asp for an introduction to Flash. It may whet your appetite. ATB
There is no need of any additional programes required to do such logo animation. It is entirely done in Flash only. The logo is constantly in animation because it is a Movie Clip created in flash. The movement will go on as long as the page remains. It wont stop untill unless a "STOP" action is included at it's last frame. Some stunning flash sites are made with the help of "Action Script" which is a part of Flash. Search Google for "Flash Movie Clip Tutorials" or for "Flash Tutorials" you will see many nice Flash Tutorial sites.
Action script can be very but very complicated... Just take a look at this guy site... you would be amaze by what you can do with flash! But you can do some great animation without the help of heavy action script... I think that logo is animated using a mask effect.Flash animation
Other softwares can be use along with Flash. 3D software for logo creation in 3d. An editing software like After Effects are used special effects used in Flash headers then exported as .AVI .MOV movies via Flash. There are many methods that are used. http://flashkit.com and http://www.ultrashock.com/ are a great resource for learning Flash. You will find many more resources and tutorials there.
if you want to check out some really good tutorials, check out lynda.com - there is a yearly fee, but everyone i know that is "advanced" in flash and AS has used these tutorials. i wouldnt begin to expect being this good right off the bat, but i can tell you one thing for sure... learn AS, you can mod your projects in seconds some times. also, if you want a confidence booster, download a 30 day trial of sothink swf decompiler, if you have flash mx or 8, you can download this program at www. so think . com and it gives an option to export your browsers cache to flash (everytime you visit a site w/ flash it is saved to your browser cache). once you do this, you can see how people actually do this stuff. you would be surprised at how easy and hard it can be at the same time. i am an extremely inpatient person and w/ some effort and reluctant patience, i have really come a long way w/ flash. if you are interested, i can give you better detail. take care
