Hi, I'm thinking in stop using Photoshop and begin to create Flash ads instead of static ads. Any good experience about Flash ads? It worths loosing some hours learning Flash? (In my case that I do my own ads) or keep the image one? thanks!
You are in wrong forum for that question No, it is not worth for a fiew baners. But, in other hand, learning Flash can only help you. It is great sw, but be prepared for hard study if you want to get high quality results.
I am interested in AdWords performance of Static Ads X Flash Ads, where am I supposed to ask? In a Macromedia Flash MX forum? Only Adword account managers can tell about their experience about the Flash ads performance for an Adword Account. I am not interested in opinions in Overture account or something like that.
? You're user that don't like flash ads and what do you think that this information is useful here? I don't know if my question is clear enough I want to know the performance of static ads X flash Ads in an AdWords Account have someone there experienced it there?
Well if alot of people block flash ads because they are annoying THE PERFORMANCE IS ZERO lol tbh i didnt know google allowed flash adverts?! i taught it was only image ads and then under strict control
I wasn't aware Adwords could run Flash content, I think it's static images only? Annoying, yes, but almost every online media company out there has stats showing higher clickthrough rates than static images. The fact that people 'find them annoying' has nothing to do with their effectiveness or lack thereof. Popups are annoying, so is HTML email. I find Adsense blocks annoying, and optin email capture popovers are pretty annoying too. But they are all highly effective advertising that's why they're around. If they weren't working nobody would pay for them...
Although I've only done limited testing I have a slight increase in CTR when using a flash vs "static" ad. I don't really have enough data at this point to comment on the conversion %.
Flash ads are better. Statistically provide better click through rates. The people that block Flash ads are mainly easily-annoyed people that are under 0.1% of the web. Obviously cornellius doesn't know what he's talking about. If they weren't good, why would people pay hundreds of dollars to make them when they can make a static ad?
obviously u havent read the thread fully he is asking about using flash ads in adwords, but adwords dont allow flash ads
lol, yes it allows. from 2 or 3 months ago I think Why do you think that I'm asking it here? Is anybody there?
lol... why would you need a flash blocker for? It's easier to just close the flash popup or just not look at the flash banner than to go and download a blocker lol. You must be really easily-annoyed.
its hard not to look when they pop up here there and everywhere, and they also FLASH around (im aware of the pun). lol its like saying "why do u need a pop up blocker? just close them.." yes ur doing a good job at winding me up
Popups are different from flash things, so unless you go to a porn site or a music site or some other unprofessional big websites you won't get them much. Flash can be closed. And i've never seen one flash around, just one that pops up, and one that floats down and stuff. Was easy to close. Small price to pay for great content, why do you have to be a thief and block their ads?
That is what you are doing. You are not letting them earn money while you look at their content. There is one economic rule: no such thing as free lunch.
call me whatever u want but if i dont like being subjected to spammy and annoying flash adverts i block them and im not the only one heres what majority of internet users think of flash http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/12/20/1431211&tid=217
