    Hello,

I recently uploaded a .swf file to my website. When I go to my website to check it out, a pop up says "Click to run an ActiveX control on this webpage" (see below):

    Noname.jpg

After I click "OK", another pop up prompts me to install shockwave 10.2 (see below):

    Noname2.jpg

If you would like to see first hand, here is a link to my website: www.drmixology.com

How do I prevent these messages from popping up, and allow people to visit my site with no problems?

Also, why do people need to click my .swf before allowing the buttons within it to become clickable? Thanks!!!

First one - I wouldn't worry about. Microsoft is "licensing" the "technology" from the "company" that screwed them over in the EOLAS patent suit, and will be removing "Click to Activate" in a few months. As for the latter, install the plugin.

I can install the plugin (by clicking install when the popup appears), but once I return to my website, it prompts me again.

I assume you mean there's a permanent plugin I can download to avoid seeing it every time I visit. However, how will visitors know to do this?

Seems like a pain... why is microsoft so clumsy?
