Flame Warriors

One of my friends recently linked me to a site on the net called FlameWarriors that is a page of caricatures of debaters and other forum goers.

I've been reading through it some, and would be interested to hear what forum types people on our Politics and Religion sub-forum would classify themselves or other forum goers as.

I'm only up to the Cs, but already I've found a few that -may- fit.

I'll be willing to start us out.

For example, I think that SamanthaPia solidly falls into the category of "Atheist."

Oh, and while they are not on this forum, I'm fairly sure that if they were, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would count as Ethnix

I'm honestly not sure where to place a lot of people. I think AGS may be the Klaxon Royalty.

No one really seems to fit Mob-Boss, everyone just gets down and dirty in the trenches themselves.

    Definitely not.

Oh, and I'm having trouble with one. Is Ablye Deacon, or Issues?

Yes, I was thinking Klaxon too, but not royalty, I don't think he has been around that long or that he was old enough to have been probably just dropped out last year.

Well keep in mind, longevity is only one way to gain the Royal status. Contribution, force of personality, ect, can also bring someone to that status. I think it's more the position of someone that is respected and venerated by a large enough portion of the forum that their arguments carry additional weight simply because of who it is making those arguments.

Sycophant types will always pipe in on the side of Royalty and Bigdog. Hmmm. Maybe AGS would be more properly classified as Klaxon Bigdog than Klaxon royalty.

I'm mainly basing this on how sycophants and me-toos seem to flock around AGS.

MMmmm. Not sure about that last one d16man, but I'm fairly sure that AGS and GTech wound count as Duelists

I know I'm definitely not Eagle Scout, I've responded in an unflattering manner to to many personal attacks.

However I would like to think of my self as Philosopher, but when I first joined I used the relative safety of Android.

you are a little android sometimes, josh :p

Hes referring to gworld (as opposed to gtech). gworld is obsessed with calling people gay or bigots. its really interchangeable.

Eh, not sure GWorld and AGS are "Cyber Sisters" for some reason there's a gender requirement on the description.

And at this point, there's way to many referrences to body parts to support to much Ad hominem for my taste.

:p And there I go with android again.

Generally, my motives for going Android are similar to the motives for Nanny, and any of the types that prefer rational debate and civil discussion. I tend to think that pointing out debate flaws helps to keep them from happening.

I just revised my "duelist" position. While AGS and GTech tend to spar verbally a lot, one characteristic of duelists is that unless someone gets between them they generally leave other people out of the fight. I don't really think that applies here.
