Well, I just started with fiverr. Seems a cool website, but I didn't know that they observe our private messages.
Mods are pretty serious about making sure you don't go through loopholes of their $1/job fee on there..The funds delay is annoying too. If you can give the client your twitter and avoid middle fees..
Agreed but they have to make money somehow to run the site. $1 seems like a lot compared to the $5 pay per job. There are other places like webmaster forums where you can find people for free.
Lol Fiverr sucks. Have some kinda self worth and market your self properly for a respected salary. DP is making me wealthy. I will buy premium membership one day as gratitude for the small cash DP brings, but the Moderators penalise you too much here for little errors. Don't wanna spend money and be banned.
I share the same view with you. But...DP and Fiverr can be good for beginners. Let's say you make more money than DP's creators using this platform, i guess they will not feel good about it
i have been in feverr for four months now but fiver have never done anything to my account i still trust it
I know this is a late response, but I was just surfing the web for a Fiverr alternative, since I was banned from Fiverr on June 6, 2012. Ironically I received the same exact response that SamsonThomas shows in his post. I too contacted Fiverr CS frantically for an explanantion. When they disabled my account I had 6 orders in the works and about 10.00 in my buying account. As I watched the emails come in about my jobs being delivered I was helpless to review them, download them or retrieve them in any way. I was completely at a loss as to why this happened and why Fiverr was not responding with anymore information about what exactly I did. I was not allowed access to my purchased gigs or my account funds. I too was a customer. Apparently not enough people are reporting this. I filed a report with the BBB/international since Fiverr is in Israel, I filed a Rip-off report, and I filed a complaint with every consumer org. I could find. This is Bullying plain and simple, if it had a basis, more explanation would be given as to why anyone especially a customer would be denied access to purchased goods. It has been a month, and I am still clueless as to how I promoted alternative services or undermined the community when the services I was buying were programming edit and additions to a Mental Health Education site....I was buying services....I was a customer who spent well over $300.00 on services and even had some in the works when my account was disabled. So, I can certainly understand Samson's or anyone else’s frustrations who have had this experience. I really feel victimized by this experience. I am still apprehensive about using alternatives, but thought I would start looking at some others.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck SmallApple. I posted these sites earlier, but thes are my favorite fiverr alternatives: - Fourerr.com ALEXA RANK = 24,006 (ALEXA Rank just went down to: 856) - GigBucks.com ALEXA RANK = 13,396 (ALEXA Rank just went down to: 3,311) - JustaFive.com ALEXA RANK = 107,130 (ALEXA Rank just went down to: 106,960) Fourerr is really awesome with lots of gigs to choose from. I have used it to promote my son's site: TCCarpetCleaner.com 333 Washington Avenue N, Suite 300 Minneapolis, MN 55401 (612) 808-6760 I also promote my friend's site: DuctCleaningTwinCities.com 40 South 7th Street, Suite 212-144D Minneapolis (612) 412-1867 And have been very impressed with all the $4 jobs I have used to rank these sites. - Dave
