I used fiverr for about 2 years with my old account and maybe 2 months with my new account.
    "Joel" has already responded with:
I have now tried to explain that I had 2 accounts and while early on I did violate their TOS, for the last year or more I have been a good boy and have not tried to contact the sellers directly. With my new account, I have never attempted to contact sellers, nor have I violated their TOS. Apparently there are no second chances with fiverr. It also appears that when they give you a warning, they just go ahead and ban you later anyway. - Crazy

I have had good luck with 3 of these sites:
    - GigBucks.com ALEXA RANK = 13,396 I like this site!
    - Fourerr.com ALEXA RANK = 24,006
    - FiveSquids.co.uk ALEXA RANK = 39,357
    - FiversWorld ALEXA RANK = 39,675
    - Zeerk.com ALEXA RANK = 44,343 I like this site!
    - TenBux.com ALEXA RANK = 44,762 (site is down?)
    - JobsFor10.com ALEXA RANK = 72,649
    - JustaFive.com ALEXA RANK = 107,130 I like this site!
    - Tenerr.com ALEXA RANK = 119,355
    - GigMe5.com ALEXA RANK = 133,840
    - GigBlasters.com ALEXA RANK = 172,515
    - Dollar3.com ALEXA RANK = 193,535

Based only on their Alexa.com rating, they seem to be the biggest players next to fiverr. I am sure I should be easily able to replace my exisiting vendors from those sites. There are also micro worker (freelancer) sites I can turn to as well, but I didn't include them in my list.

Does anyone else have a "gig" site to recommend with lots of sellers?

UPDATE: I'm really liking fourerr.com. Great communication with the sellers so far and the site is very easy to navigate too. I can easily find some great vendors there and even save a $1. Take that fiverr! :)

That's tough luck bud. Obviously something is going on for them to ban you. Hopefully the situation can be rectified. I've been using Fiverr for awhile now with no complaints. Good luck.

Here's another site worth mentioning: Deucerr.com

There is no commission, so sellers get to keep all their money. They also can set their own price from $2 - $100.

It appears they make their revenue from selling ads on the site.

I suppose, but alas, they have to make a buck too and I think it's only on the sidebar. I thought it was worth mentioning 'cuz I was thinking along the same lines, that a free fiverr site could be a good business model and then use adsense ads or something to make it worthwhile. Deucerr doesn't use Adsense, they use paid sponsor ads, but it's still kinda the same concept. To each their own, right.

Also, please understand, I don't have a personal vendetta against fiverr. I actually think they have a great business model and applaud their success. The problem I have with them is they don't give second chances. I could see if I had been ruthless in my efforts to contact vendors, but that wasn't the case. I only did it a few times when I was getting frustrated waiting for vendors to respond and just wanted to explain things via chat. I have no problem with fiverr wanting to make their $1.

Btw, I blogged about my "banned from fiverr" experience if anyone is interested. I listed all the sites I mentioned in this thread and also added a list of top rated micro worker sites.

You did commit a grievous mistake of contacting clients offline. Been using Fiverr since last one year and they are very prompt when it comes to payment.

@sumdor - First off, I was a buyer, but do you honestly think it was that grievous? I mean at first it wasn't grievous, right? Because they warned me and I quit. If it was so grievous, as you put it, why didn't they ban me immediately back then? I quit and a year later it becomes grievous?

I still think they suck for allowing me to create another account and use if for 2 months and then ban me again, this time for absolutely no reason.

I've moved on. There are too many other sites out there to choose from.

@ThePassiveIncomeBlog - yep, I'm with you on that, but as we have seen there are scores of people who are apparently earning enough to make it payoff.

I agree earning only 3.92 from each listing is completely ridiculous!

Same idea with people giving you shit reviews just because they are dicks. Fiverr could be managed better for sure.

I feel sorry for you considering that you just been upgraded to level 2. I rarely use Fiverr to sell my services (only have 2 sales since I created the account). There are plenty of other places where you can sell your service where you don't have to give up 20% of your revenue.

Did you post a video in your profile that shows a link or a link in your profile that they didn't approve of, perhaps? If you funneled traffic away - I wonder if that's what may have peeved them.

From past experiences fiverr has proven that it's customer service related skills are quite good,
I highly doubt they would ban you for no reason?
Are you sure you didn't do what they accused you of accidentally or unknowingly?
