Five Things That'd Improve DP

Here's my first five... think of it as a community brainstorming exercise.

1) Politics and Religion Forum
Add new button beside "Quote This Post" that says "Nuke City in Which Poster Resides".
Within days the forum (and substantial portions of the globe) would be much quieter (albeit radioactive).

2) BST Forums
As a time-saving measure... connect the button used to enter the forum to the button that deletes the individuals DP account. This would free up the mods for other duties.

3) Dmoz Forum
To remove all the confusing thread titles... allow only two permanent threads in this venue:

1. Why Haven't Those Corrupt Bastards Listed My Site
2. Why Haven't Those Corrupt Bastards Approved My Editor Application

If this is viewed as too narrow a focus you could add a third thread labelled "I Hope Their Ass Grows Together".
For Truth in Advertising, I'd also rename that sub-forum "People Who Still Think This is Worth Spending All Day Bitching About".

4) Directories Forum
Implement a prize giveaway for every 100th thread with a title that asks "Is It Worth it to Pay to be Listed in Yahoo?"
Implement a similar givaway for every 1000th thread titled something like "I Need a List of Directories".

5) The Underground
Remove all the threads but the Texas Redneck Thread. It really deserves its own forum.​

Surely you too have just 5 ideas to improve DP. Please feel free to list them here. Together we can make a difference.

 

1) Make Rob Jones the moderator over the Politics and Religion section.

2) Ban any poster that has a signature calling for boycotts or sanctions of the United States (this is actually an act of kindness to help them get started on the boycott immediately).

3) Get rid of the introduction section - How bored would you have to be to greet all the "Hi, I'm Newbie" posts anyway? "Hi there, welcome to DP. You are a total stranger to me, but I just want you to know, I'm really hoping that you enjoy your visit"

That's all I could think of for now...

I don't have 5 Suggestions but I do have 1 good 1.

Place a button in the posts of the in the Politics and Religion forum that automatically sends out 'Retart Faxes' to the user.

Example Below... Rob Jones constantly complained about Retart Reps and my Dp account was screwed by a partial DB corruption so I got bored.

Can I just nominate Rob as DP Prez, and Rebecca as Secretary of State - and then just switch them up, to keep people on their toes?

I hereby volunteer to be Master of Festivities and Frivolous Entertainments. So long as I get to wear cool clothes.

Let's add in a thread on Who's butt do I have to kiss or pay off to get listed.

 

I'd enjoy more forum sections dedicated to gaming.
Also adding iTrader or anything similar to indicate successful trades would fit too.
