Hi all, I have fitnessboard.co.uk ...I currently don't have anything on it, so am looking for ideas from you creative lot. Naturally you'd think of a forum of some type, but with so many out there already i'm looking for some alternatives. Any recommendations on fitness related affiliate programs would be great as well.

    Thanks

Make a blog or website with articles about fitness. Make this articles better and different from other sites. I know there is much web sites and blogs with same theme but much are crap of crap. So make it better, wait with adsense 3,4 weeks and other advertising and you can sucess. And remember, never give up!

Another alternative would be to look for a fitness product of some type that would be relative to the term "board"... surely there is something out there. Then advertise the product and become an affiliate. Obviously it needs to be a good product and you'll have to do some work to rank well for keywords that might be relative to the product itself.

You can make it very niche specific and concentrate on some of the more specialist training systems such as club bells, kettle bells, sand bags, outdoor fitness etc.

Fitness sites don't make much money. Sell it and buy into another niche.

Why don't you setup a information site about fitness such as the location of fitness center at your town.
And in the same time you can sell some fitness product.

select very few (may be two or three) products related to fitness and put information about them. optimise the pages, get good traffic. you are ready to earn money through affiliation...

you have to be wise in choosing products...

hmm.. build on google maps and list out the places in your area where there's access to fitness facilities like a gym? good source of traffic and probably some revenue from small ads.

Your domain is a kickass for developing a forum.

Maybe you can sell it too for a nice price.

You can create a forum, build a lot of backlinks, and when you have a good PR, you can sell the domain or even the whole site
