While i don't really want to defend christianity, it's only fair to point out that people aren't committing the barbarism prescribed in the bible today.

In FITNA we were given examples of people using koranic verses as justification for evil straight after we were shown the verse. show me samuel 3:15 followed a christian talking about killing Amalekites and it will be a fair comparison.

So is it in book or in the people who read those books?

I started to watch the video, looks like someone with an agenda quoting some things from the bible to cast a bad light on it. That's about where I stopped. I'm assuming the video is made by someone not of the Christian faith who is trying to make some point agaisnt Christianity. I'm tired of hearing one religion bad mouth the other. I thought these religions where supposed to teach people to spread love, but all I am seeing from so called religous people is the spread of hate. I'm over it. If you want to spread hate, do so, but I won't invest any of my time in it.

this movie point was in the same movie:

"it is easy to take parts of any Holy book that are out of content and make it sound like the most inhuman book ever written. This is what Greet Wilders did to gather more supporters to his hateful ideology. To create Schism."

There is a traditional saying, an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. Don't really see the need for Fitna, don't really seen the need for Fitna (Bible version)

I agree, thou after watching this movie to the end I did not see it an eye for an eye, the producer made it clear when he said, its easy to take parts from any holy book out of content.

Apologies; was commenting from the thread information, I told myself I am not watching Fitna and neither am I going to watch its variants, thats why I wouldn't be able to comment on the actual aspects of it.

    Thanks for clarifying imad. Cheers!

A bit of both. The people need to be a bit mental to do it, But it has to be in the book for them to find justification.

    It's not the same.

Those where war tactics in a time of war against nations that were the enemy of israel as a nation and poeple.

Not against all people who don't believe in YAHWEH.

YAHWEH could have said that they could kill all unbelievers if that is what HE wanted.

But that is never what HE wanted.

Ckrismoney, the verses that people claim Allah (swt) want unbelievers dead have been debunked many times, it just takes one search :) It is nothing but a conspiracy

What can one search do to change this:

"9.29": Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

That's what it says and that's what they are doing period.

You can post fabricated verses from anti islam websites all day but it won't make a difference :)

[9:29] You shall fight back against those who do not believe in GOD, nor in the Last Day, nor do they prohibit what GOD and His messenger have prohibited, nor do they abide by the religion of truth - among those who received the scripture - until they pay the due tax, willingly or unwillingly.

What is wrong with that? The same happens in any country, if you don't pay tax you go to jail.

IMHO this is quite a nice life style to have. Also in my opinion we may be of different beliefs or no beliefs but it is important to respect each others' beliefs or non beliefs.
