Started lurking here recently and learning some. I have some Squidoo lenses, Hubpages, Weebly pages now. No earnings yet, but no real sites. From all that I have read here and around the net, I have made a couple of conclusions. Correct me where needed, and point me to further information, please. First, and most important, content is king. Passive income is a dream for most, since new content must be generated constantly. Sure, you could coast for a small amount of time once you build up some content, but not too long. Second, pay-per-time is pretty low. Not many people are making a fortune. If you take into account the cost of generating new content, the per-hour rate is less than a decent USA professional income. Third, internet marketing has been saturated for some time and getting worse daily. Novel niches still exist, and new ones will continue to appear, but competition will get more and more fierce. Fourth, for most people, generating some truly useful content and keeping it fresh, meeting real needs, will generate some income however small. Internet marketing techniques may help increase that income. OK. I'm new but honest. I have a good day job, and this is for hobby purposes. I'm only starting to learn. I would love pointers and links to great articles and resources online (especially free) where I could learn more about internet marketing and making money online. Thanks friends.
