Hello Guys, Over the past few months I've been doing a lot of research on the Internet regarding affiliate marketing and Google Adsense, I've found out lot's of information about affiliate marketing and I have just signed up to the 30 Day Challenge today, I'm thrilled with the idea of making an income online so much that its 4:11 AM right now but I can't sleep. I plan to make computer help websites, targeted to certain problems or tutorials and I will explain how to fix these problems and I will suggest a Top 10 list of programs (That I'm an affiliate off) to the visitors and if they decide to buy I get a commission, does this plan sound okay? I've started on the website and have my server ready, has anyone ever tried something like this? Does it work at all? I want to start 100's of websites this year with affiliate links and adsense on it, do you have any suggestions on how I can bring traffic to these websites? Thank you for your time. If anyone is starting out like me with affiliate marketing and other stuff like that and want to talk please PM me with your MSN and I'll add you.
Don't bother starting hundreds of websites. Instead focus on one central domain and then branch off from there. For example you could have a web domain called, "computerexperts.com" or something like that. Then start by writing articles for windows software. Once you have a bunch of articles for that then start a new section for linux software. Then you can move on to other stuff like hardware, laptops, whatever. The reason you want it that way is because you want all your efforts to go to that one central domain. If you have tons of websites, most of them will be crappy and not rank well at all. You'll make about 1-3$ per 1,000 impressions on google adsense and its limitless how much you can make with affiliates but I am sure most people don't buy from affiliates, unless its a really good product or something (most affiliate products are garbage). I've tried both methods and had dismal results. You only make good money on adsense if you are pulling in tons of traffic, at least 100,000 per month. Its difficult to achieve those results. I've had better results by building subscription based sites, like 10$ per year. The site has to be really good, not some cookie cutter blog site with a bunch of stupid articles. You have to give people a specific reason to buy a membership. What my site does is noting new, I focus on exam preparation. Normally people would have to buy a 150$ textbook and 10$ prep book to prepare for the exam. My site replaces both for 10$ AND has a bunch of really cool and unique features like an autograding exam that show you what chapters you need to review again. It also replaces the entire need to take a class on the subject since I have recorded lectures to cover the material.
This is the main mistake that most newcomers make. Don't start a lot of websites, focus on one and then move to the rest. Content,Design,SEO,Content,Backlinks - repeat.
Look around the forums, you'll find plenty of ways to get traffic to your website. You'll need to make sure your website has useful content though or you won't get any repeat visitors. Just make sure you site isn't full up with only advertising, make it a site worth going to.
The plan sounds really solid. The only thing I would suggest (if you are trying to build a long term website) is to monetize with Adsense before you try and sell them anything. That way you still have a chance of monetizing and you can focus on producing content to dominate the serps as well as building a relationship. Once the relationship is there it'll be like taking candy from a baby.
Don't waste your money buying hundreds of websites. You're going to need to do so much work in order to have just ONE successful website, let alone 100 of them. Yugo, Good luck!
I have just launched my first website, its not going to be a main website but a "Micro Niche" as it says on 30 Day Challenge. I'll look forward to seeing how it goes, even if I make 0.50p I'll be happy!
start with 1. focus on that, after seeing results, amplify the earnings. if possible, automate or outsource to let it 'autopilot' then you start another 1. if possible, use related niche. for example, 1st website niche is on gardening tips selling ebooks. After you have success with it, you may want to open another website on selling shovels, fertilizers, gardening stuffs then channel/link the first website traffic to second one as you already have targeted traffic already. Then you may want to offer gardening services or job recommendation for those who is busy and no time for gardening etc..
I dont know about you, but I was not successful with looking for affiliates. I have all the latest technologies implemented. I offered "hot" weight loss pills products that do sell. I was offering 17% commision with lifetime cookie expiration. None of the above gave me what I was looking for. First work on on page SEO. Create landing pages. After that do off page. Prepare to pay. Pay people to write reviews about you on theme related blogs. Do 3 way link exchange. Product, category and mnufacturer pages linking. Write and submit articles etc.. etc... etc.. Do not overpay!
Just to update you guys I made my first commission it was £6.33 (GBP) Pretty happy, and my site is getting about 30 visitors a day, and its ranking about 4th for like 30 keywords each that have a million+ websites/results, im quite happy.
