I absolutely agree here as well....

I followed the person in question (lord daksh) around almost EVERY thread he created and warned as many other people as possible to check his background before giving him any money, which I feel given the weight of evidence against him and his lack of comment on the accusations was ethically sound.

I do NOT however condone posting personal information on a public forum, as an example about three weeks ago someone did that to me on another forum claiming that I was selling a pirated copy of HIS app on my site (the one in my footer link). I then contacted him and set the record straight (I employed his developer, whom rightly or wrongly on an ethics point of view LEGALLY resold me the source code with full distribution rights.

What this meant was that there is now a post on another forum that accuses me personally of being a scammer, which whilest the person then in the same thread took back, and corrected, we all know that 90% of people will only read the first two posts before making a conclusion.

IN SHORT, INNOCENT UNTIL ABSOLUTELY PROVEN GUILTY, AND EVEN THEN WHAT RIGHT DO WE HAVE AS INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS OF A COMMUNITY TO PUNISH THE PERPETRATOR? NONE, AS WE ARE NOT E-VIGILANTES!!

 

OK, he has his rights and so but would you be pleased if he did the same to you? He should have thought about his rights before stealing money. And now the only thing that matters is money. No theft - no problem.

I'm am very sorry for my words if he eventually is not guilty, but that's my opinion.

yes, the scammers CONTACT info, not bank accounts and so on, thats a total invasion of privacy.
