First time I've seen this adsense format:

It asks you for a prompt to see what ads you'd like to see. Saw it on DP's blog. Never seen that one before.

 

its like a psa for adlinks. When adsense doesn't have any keyword for that site, that ads will appear. Try put the adlinks code on new html page and see the page locally, you will get lots of that.

 

I see that all the time, it doesn't stay so I don't think much of it.

 

Huh. I've seen the 'Switch to ads about...' bit, but this is new, an input form inviting you to view ads based on keywords, entirely of your own choosing...

Wouldn't the ctr of this be significantly lower than running a 'best guess' ad?

I just can't see people thinking, "Yeah, show me some more ads... I haven't been bombarded enough."

I have to agree. I'd be like "if you don't know what ad I want to see, I surely won't tell you" or maybe "Yeah, I don't see ENOUGH ads online, I'm going to tell you what ads to show me" LOL

 

well it just fine. Mine often times showed that too.
