Well, I have heard that one way to do it is to write some articles about it and endorse the product from there. There are actually articles submission sites that you can submit to and there are even site thats pays your for submission. So, by this way, you can have the chance of having sales from your product as well as earn from revenues from the site.

thats a nice looking site for your first site?? what you now need of course is some targeted traffic. have you given any thought as to how you promote the site?

build some links, social bookmarking, squidoo perhaps, directories, maybe a small ppc budget.

    good luck

IT IS a nice looking website! I would consider signing up with Google AdWords if I were you. You will probably pay anywhere from 10 cents to 50 cents per click but it will get your website out. Because of the nature of your website (selling jewelry) you need trustworthy ways of getting it out (Yahoo or Google advertising campaigns).

directories would mean going to each free directory service and adding our link into it, right? i am doing that, as many as possible. Plus i am trying to promote the link on orkut. How do i build links?

And PPC project, does that work?

ppc does work but can be expensive for a beginner learning the ropes. with the right ad you can get very targeted traffic to your site. if I were you I would spend some time here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35 and see what goes on before spending any money.

when and if you do start just start with a low budget per day ie $3 then you can fine tune and play around without looosing your shirt. BUT at even $3 per day that is $$90 per month. it adds up quickly so just be aware

well i have registered for Adwords as of now. Planning to start out with 5 cents or 10 cents per click, and maximum $1 per day. let me see how this works.

Isnt there any way without spending some bucks that i can get people to my website who can begin buying?

Yes. Nice PopShops site! Did you sign up to the Pro account or Enterprise? Also, I would recommend YSM over AdWords initially. You can do more testing with YSM without losing all of your money. I personally like to dial in ads in YSM, and if I find a good converting site and ad, I then run it on AdWords. Just my two cents.

I am using the Pro account of popshops. Wouldnt move to enterprise unless i make some bucks out of this.
but how do u do more testing without losing money? got to put in some to test as well right, then why not test it on adwords?

try and find a forum which deals mainly with jewellery, join it and put your web address in your signature.

not only are you getting your url out there to a market which is targetted but you'll also be building backlinks too.
