Seriously? So members are free to scam each other huh - that's depressing.

I got an update from paypal - they ruled in my favor but apparently they couldn't get my money back. Probably because the dude already took the money out of his account, right?

Oh well, I wonder what my credit card company can do about it.

Oh, I'm sure they're watched, and after enough of a hassle, action is taken.

The problem is as I said in my last post:
Services are impossible to prove in most cases. This becomes a he-said / she-said argument and , well, who's right? Who is to say (and I'm not saying you did this, but I'm using you as an example here) that you didn't take the services provided, then come crying because you want the money back, or because you didn't get everything you expected.

The buyer isn't necessarily always right. In this case, you're probably right, and the evidence seems to indicate this as well. however, that doesn't really add up to much of anything.

It sucks, I know, this is why you should investigate things thoroughly before you give money out via paypal, or always leave yourself an option to get the money back. In your case, you used your credit card (not your bank, hopefully) to get your money to him, and they will ALWAYS side with the customer, as long as it can be proven that you attempted to contact him and get what you paid for.

Good luck contacting your bank :)

I'll watch out for him. I check users iTraders and how many posts they have before buying from them. I prefer to buy from users "rooted" in the DP community. I don't agree with posting his PayPal address, though, since it's not yours and a spam bot could pick it up.
