First Steps...(Newb Alert)

I am very new to this. Before i get bashed about using the search feature i have, there is so much info on this forum that is hard to needle out what i need. So i am posting this thread.

I am planning on starting an file sharing site in like a few days to a week. I was wondering what are the first steps i need to make to start getting traffic to my site. I picked a site like this as it seems to be more of a starter site for a beginner like me.

In advance i would like to take everyone that replies, all are welcome, but if you just are going to post and bash me from being new to this, please just move to another thread. Thanks.

Add your site to forums and freebie sites. Submit it to social bookmark sites and get links from directories.

 

i think you can start reading the sticky thread on this forum. it's a great thread for starting

 

My budget, well its really no cap on my budget. But want to invest a reasonable amount to make my site all it can be.
