First site, what do you think?

Well this is my first attempt at a website its been up almost a month now Pet Growth. I am constatly working on adding more articles and content in between both work and school. It's a pet website where members are able to share experiences and advice with others. I'm looking for any feedback, positive or negative. Also if you are interested in joining that would be cool too, but not necessary. Thanks for looking.

 

Hey nice idea to make a website....i like the nice design....u shud elongate the menu bar of ur website....the short thing does not look too good...

 

Screen width is a little too wide ... horizontal scrolling is a pain.

Even at 1024x768 I have to scroll sideways, not sure why ... it is very distracting.

This is happening on all pages I visit ... is it an IE7 thing?

 

For a first site, it's pretty good

I would get the header re-designed however, I like the overall layout but the header doesn't seem appealing to me (because it looks kind of outdated).

 

Ah I'll try to fix this. I'll post again when its fixed.

 

Yeah I made a header before that was way worse compared to this one. Thanks for the input I will be working on a new one soon.

Not bad. I do agree it looks kind of like a dated design.

 

I think the size is better now. I still get some funky things going on in IE though. Like a huge white space at the top, and something with the horizontal scroll bar. I'm getting better with coding but still confused most of the time. But I will try to keep working on it.

As for the design I will try to improve upon it. Thanks for all the comments.

 

All that white at the top may have something to do with the extra code at the top of your page ...

From what I can see the div contains nothing, and the table only has a transparent image.

Thanks I'm definitely working on it. I'm taking a little break from the layout and design right now and really trying to focusing on the content. I have spring break soon and I want to at least triple the articles over that time.

 

Outstanding! Both look and feel. Its about as pro as a pet site can be.

I like the layout , i myself have a site on cats (turkish angoras) in the making , will surely take a leaf out of your book.

I like the site a lot. It's easy on the eyes and interesting too.
