Which is the best domain name?
.co? (would people divert to the .com domain - unavailable) or inserting a dash between two words?

Tough choice because a .com is always better, but having the hyphen takes away from the domain's value. Many people also forget to type the hyphen so you will get people who would type firstsecond.com.

However, the .co's aren't even close to as good as a .com.

Given those 2 choices I, myself, would take the first-second.com and only because it's a .com.

.com is better even with a hyphen. .co just doesn't make the cut and may also seem incomplete domain to users if you were to advertise it, potentially even diverting your website traffic to the .com version.

Like user ulterios said, I would take the first-second.com.
In my experience .COM's are better even with a hyphen.

I'd go with a hyphenated .com over a .co if I had to choose between the two.

I would never go with .co or hyphened .com
Maybe the owner of firstsecond.com will sell it for cheap, ask him.

a hypen does not hurt you as much as .co...the hyphen may even help because some words are easier to read with a hyphen in between...some people will forget there was a hyphen and type in without and the traffic will go somewhere else...

first-second.com is just easier to remember. In all my years, I've never cared to remember anything with a .co extension in it. Save yourself (and your visitors) a headache, go with .com or .org.

As .com is considered as the best domain extension but use of hyphen tends google to take that site as a spam. Better to have another option.
