Nearly after 400 clicks i made my first sale on cj. $2.00 commission (sold a domain name). Not bad as starters I would give everyone tips but i don't think im much suitable to give tips on how i made my first commission because it came so randomly (when least expected) after so long because I had given up hope. Anyhoo, will probably celebrate it with a bottle of red wine. Anyone wanna join me
hard work sure pays off. but the first sale is always very satisfying. don't matter how big or small it is.
Thanks god it wasn't ppc. Otherwise i wouldn't have any money left to pay fro my internet bill. The sale came through my site. I added an article about shared hosting on my site. It must be because of that. Hope to generate more sale from that page.
Congrats web_dev I went 3 months without making a cent when I first started. Now you've got your first sale - build, build, build!
Now sure exactly what you mean by build. I built a review page on shared hosting but only generated one sale so far. Not bad i would think. But... I own a content niche site (PHP tutorial site). That means i get organic traffic but my traffic doesn't convert. I always wonder how rest of you are able to convert from store sites and without any content. Where do you guys get your traffic from? And most importantly how do you make sales from your traffic? I'm assuming you get about the same traffic as i do. 300-500 visitors a day. Is it all ppc for you? But how do you make sales from such small traffic?
It depends on the niche web_dev, read some more threads and this was said many times. Not all niches convert well unfortunally. Is because of that you need to build build build, the most possible different number of niche sites/stores.
Ahhhhhh! Now is there a "how-to" thread that talks about building traffic to niche store sites? Maybe you can give me a summary of the points and point me towards right direction.
Read the other thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=4465937&postcount=58 All this information is available free all over the net. You just need to read and try. if you have patience and persistence you'll succeed. But remember everything takes time, and i mean really TIME (many months, even 1 year). For instance i had some old sites that i thought they were "dead". For the first year they gave me zero dollars. After one year and two months (and i didn't change anything on them), they begin to give $800 a month. I was very surprised in with that, but it was the proof that everything takes time.
Congrats! That's $2 you don't even know who to thank for! Great feeling. give us your blog URL so we can take a look.
well, i would definitely thank the person who also bought hosting through ymy referral link. This week was good for me. I saw my first ever sale on the internet
Just want to add my congrats. On my first affiliate sale was like 30.00 i did a belly slide on my kitchen floor i was soooo happy. Congrats again and wish you more.
