First rule about AdSense: Forget about AdSense. Create original content, build it up, optimize it for search engines. Promote it. Once that is done add more content..then think about adsense. Only things to keep in mind are keywords and phrases you want to build upon when creating your content, nothing more. Trust me, it will save you so much time, effort and long nights. This method worked best for me, others might have another opinion. All im saying, is if i put so much effort into my content rather than trying to figure out adsense, id have more than double my content. Thus equaling more traffic which equals more $$$$$ -Tim
That's some good advices. Lately, I started to focus on writing good content...but writing it's really not something Im enjoying the most. However it seems that its the way to go...I was thinking to hire some writers on elance...because Im kind of lazy and I'm not a good writer. Anyway, keep giving us some good advices. my advice is this ! Don't create your website just for the revenue.Build it for people...make it usefull for something.Try to make your visitors come back if possible, and then AdSense will work. It will always be like that ! Am I right ?
This is so true, content first, adsense second. But I am hooked i check my adsense 5 times a day, cant help it
yes, i am at fault for that also...but..thats actually a good thing. If everytime you are looking at your stats and you notice it increase, that means you are on the right track of things. If you notice it slowing down or decreasing quite a bit, then you know you need to improve. Without monitoring it like that, it could be a matter of $1.00 or even $100.00 -Tim

Yep, don't build your site for adsense, but build it for your visitors. The first rule really should be not to cheat Adsense and to follow their TOS at all times.
