I am starting my first website ever, it is going to be a Webmaster Forum.

How could I market this and do you have any other tips for me?

Thanks! - I know there are many already on the web, but this one will be unique in its own ways!

    Hi,

    Which things make it unique?

You could use those unique points in any marketing plan and this in itself might help people try your site out.

I think for a new webmaster forums are difficult to keep alive and going and involve lots of work. I have been doing this stuff for several years and have built 2 forums in the past and none of them survived. You picked a tough kind of site to build up and get going for your first but I wish you the best of luck and hope your forum is successful.

That's definitely not a good niche for first project ever.
The competition is unbelievable and it will costs you a lot of money, time and effort to make it popular.
    Impossible.

i agree. unless you have a unique angle for your forum, or you have a lot of people waiting to join already, a webmaster forum might not be the best idea for your first project. maybe down the road...?

I highly doubt your forum might become successful in Webmaster niche. Most of the webmasters are magnetized by Digital Point and its pretty hard moving from here (unless you pay us of course). So you will have to spend a hell lot of money to make a name in this niche.

I would recommend you start a teen forum as its a general discussion and everybody knows what to talk about

    Good Luck

Not really. If he makes a VIP section or has plenty of visitors it is possible to make money off of the site, if not, it's a fun past time at best.

I like your ambition, but I'd choose a different niche to setup a forum in. Considering this is your first site, and the niche is incredibly cutthroat and competitive.
