First Page Yahoo and Bing = Google 10th page?

    What am I missing here?

I rank first page Yahoo and Bing for 6 keywords of one of my websites. Most of them #2 or #3

Same Keywords..... Google has me #50 - #100

Site is 6 months old and nothing changes. Yahoo and Bing stick, Google just moves me around in that range.

    what gives?

It is much harder to achieve great rank in Google than the other search engines. Keep putting up unique content and keep building quality backlinks.

May be that is the problem - nothing changes.

Age of site is a factor. Just add content everyday to get the maximum affect of the Google. Be sure to add your feed to you iGoogle home page. This can help :)

Google cares about backlink quality more than anything else. It's getting worse by the year.

Handful of anchor texts backlinks does the trick for Yahoo and bing, no matter where they are from and how much time a site took to develop those but in case of Google, quality of backlinks is most important factor...few forum signatures or directory listings will be just a starter...further more even while maintaining quality if you get impractical amount of links within short span, it may lead you down in rankings or may get worse if sandboxed:rolleyes:...in short, rather than just mathematically calculating a site's status; Google ranks them based on trust they have gained over a period of time:)

I think all search engines algorithms are different and there is lot of efforts required to come on first page of google as compare to others due to competition.

It can take 6 months or more for Google to take a new domain seriously. Also backlinks are the HUGE factor with google. Yahoo and Bing are fairly easy to break into the top of, for the most part. Keep working on the links, make the content as relevant and unique as possible and use the google services, that does help.

It seems Google does like things such as sites and backlinks that have been around awhile. Even new pages I put up get little recognition from Google until they have aged awhile. Though I am in a highly competitive niche.

This seems to be normal. I have the same problem op. You just have to wait untill the Big G graces you with a top ranking position.
