Hello, I have a blog that I want to get on the first page of Google for my slected term. Nottingham Photos. Is it a case of repeating this keyword as many times as possible or are there select places to put it. what methods do you suggest?
I would imagine Nottingham Photos isn't a very competitve term so it wouldn't be to hard to get on page 1 of google. I suggest you add your URL to the search engines for starters and then start building links to your site through directories. If you need any other ideas give me a shout!
You should focus on building backlinks you can do this through your signature here at dp and from article marketing. You should vary the anchor text you use when creating backlinks to make your linkbuilding look natural.
Make sure you submit your blog to Google & Yahoo local. You'll need a physical address in your city in order to do that.
Look for websites that have similar topics with your site. Getting listed in directories is a good seo investment. The links are always permanent and I believe directories have more weight than random linking.
