The same thing happened to me! OP, don't let the instant high ratings fool you or stop you from continually building up your pages.
I also suspect the Google honeymoon as it happened to me as well. Once the honeymoon is over the hard work begins
That's quite normal, new sites rank well for a few days on Google, if your ranking do not drop all the time then congrats man, you are great.
A well, the more keywords you rank well for. The more traffic you can expect. It's better than being ranked #100 for highly competitive keywords.
I rank 1st-3rd in Google for less competitive keywords everyday within an hour or a few hours of putting a new page/story up. Of course I don't stay up there for more than a day usually but it is helping my site get traffic and get more popular. This is the way to go. =)
backlink backlink backlink ... that is how I do it ... Any way here is an update on this ... I am currently on the first page for those keywords now .... But I have written a small review of a system I use to build backlinks. You can find it on my blog if you guys want to use it. Free Traffic System
How many people are searching for those keyword on Google and other search engines. It is very easy to rank high for low searched keywords since many people are not optimizing for those given keywords. All the same you have done a great job. keep it up.
Okay well a very interesting post. Well it's a good example of the power of blogging. I too managed to get first page of google for a keyword that again isnt that competitive but it put me first of all my competitors that were all paying PPC. Okay so how did i do this. I first found the company that made the product that I was reselling, this product was the keyword in question. So their domain contained the keyword, the site contained the keyword and in a nutshell they were the keyword. I then signed up to there blog and forum and starting posting great articles to the site. I then left my link on the bottom of the page with some good anchor text and rolled on. Within 2 weeks I was number one page of google and competing with the big boys. I will say that you need to ensure you are giving something back, meaning don't just go to blogs and write nonsense just because you are going to get a back link. It's vital to contribute something great to the audience. Hope the above helps. shivun Sweetpixels/ Web Design - Search Marketing - Print Web Design Sussex
Its good to hear that someone like you is in the first page on google for three consecutive days. Keep it up! Anybody can do it.
Great Job dear. Install the Google analytics and see the bounce rate of your website. if your bounce rate is less then your website is good otherwise you need to add quality of contain or product info and set your goal in Analytics and you will see the result.I hope you understand my idea.
my experience is that its quite easy to get a new page/article on the 1st page of google - its keeping it there that is the prpblem!
Congratulations, that is a great accomplishment. Keep up the hard work and you will start to get noticed by more competitive searches.
Its great if you did it, you should feel proud at least you achieved what many of not achieved in few months
