Friends, I registered a domain on 2009-03-25 and meanwhile I prepare the web, a website against the DMOZ,

This is Google throwing you a bone. They do this for almost all new sites when they first discover them. It's called the Google honeymoon. For a few days, sometimes even a few weeks, they will show pages from your new site on page 1 of the SERPs for what they believe are relevant search phrases.

There are many theories why they do this... To possibly get some statistics or initial ranking factors needed by the Ranking algorithm that can only be gathered if people see your site in the SERPs. Or to get late breaking news about a particular topic to the top of the SERPs.

But in a few days or weeks the honeymoon usually ends (unless you aquire a lot of backlinks while on page 1 during the honeymoon)... you will more than likely disappear falling way back into the SERPs where you naturally rank (and should have been all along). Then the REAL work begins...

Report back in 6 weeks and tell us where you rank for that same term... I would be very surprised if you were still at position 4.

 

Agree wit Canonical.. but I think you have done well with the title, which include "DMOZ FDP" together. No other site list on google has those two words listed together like that, so it will always rise to the top > most relevant to that particular search.. Nice one.. your a natural!

 

You rankings will drop soon. Thats what happens to all sites.

Why would you think you deserve to be on page 1 of Google and your site is 3 days old with only a whopping 3 backlinks according to Yahoo! Site Explorer to your entire site... 2 of which are from digg.com (probably a little bait you planted to get some traffic) and the third from some article about "Girls can now pee standing".

Do you really think that having a link on http://www.shoemoney.com/2009/03/20/go-girl-girls-now-can-pee-standing-free-shirt-friday/ is relevant to "Free Human Edited Directory Project DMOZ" and carries a lot of weight in Google's eyes for your site ranking for "Free Human Edited Directory Project DMOZ"? Do you REALLY think you deserve to be there because of all of the great SEO work you've done or thousands of backlinks you've gotten because your site is in such demand? ROFL

I'm not saying you have a bad site or that you will be unsuccessful in fooling some into thinking you are the real DMOZ.

The proof is in the pudding. Watch your rankings over the next few days... few weeks. I'll bet you drop off of the first page.

Come back here in 4-6 weeks and lets see if you are still there at #4... If you're site is there legitimately today because of all the "good work" you've done as you say, then you will surely have moved up a few positions by then.

yes and I agree with that , have already my site with a "exact match and in just 2 hours my site is number one from the 32.ooo.000 search and that is means nothing if I cannot get a "good visitor come and use my site for there benefit

 

i have noticed it many times in case of new websites. But i would advice not to do too much seo for your infant website. Hope this ranking continues...

No one searches for those keywords. A #1 ranking is useless when it won't bring you any traffic.

Do proper keyword research before deciding what keywords to try and rank for.

First I want add few keywords as the website is quite new!
Secondly I am getting traffic. Not a big amount but good for new one approx 100 visitors.
