you won't just see a jump in traffic out of no where you will have to do some advertising to start off then when your site has a reasonable name you can sit back and watch the traffic pile in

What key words did you attain first page for? If the keywords aren't very valuable so to speak, you won't ever really see results from the matter. I would focus on climbing closer to the top 3 spots for those key words, as well as reaching out for more key words.

    hi,

there is obvioulsy a certian limit to the traffic that being on the first page can give and it mainly depends on where your site is. the number 1 site will get the vast majority of the traffic, about 70% and the others will share the rest so get to number 1 or two and you wil see a rise in traffic. If you are there already and have low traffic maybe the niche is too small.

You can obviously supplement the organic traffic you get will posing on the right forums/articel marketing/adverts/mail shots etc etc

If you are first page for a word yet are receiving almost no traffic it's a bad keyword or you aren't high enough up yet. It only takes a few searches on the right words to get you sales so I'd say try and get it higher if it's an easy keyword, and if it's a harder keyword, the traffic may not be that much higher after you've moved up a few slots. You will probably notice the increase if you get higher.

Not sure if you're on what position. If you're towards the end of the page that will explain your low traffic. If it is try to get backlinks using your keyword as the anchor text. You also need to check the no. of searches your keyword is getting and check with more than one keyword tool and take the average count.

Congrats on getting to the first page. Don't give up now, keep getting links and get to the top spot. If your keywords turn out to be duds, you will have gained knowledge to help with your next site.

Yes, you probably need to focus on different key words. Play around with the adsense keyword tool for words related to what your site is about, and see which ones bring in the most traffic, and also which ones pay highest. After you do that, do some research to see how difficult it will be to rank well for these words. Make your selection of what to focus on based on what you find.

Keep linkbuilding and writing content - long tail is just as important as your targeted keyphrases.

You need to do some keyword research to see whats getting searched for a lot, then concentrate on those words. The best of luck to you!

This is one common problem that all of us see. Please read through my comments.

    > If you do not have decent ranks try to push to #1, #2 position.
    > Check if you rank for all google tlds like google.ca, google.co.in etc.,
    > Try to tweak your title and description to get the maximum CTR.
    > Try to target more keywords.

    Hope this helps.
