I`ve been in SEO biz a few years ago 2005 and I was pretty good I guess.I`ve done complete SEO for 4 months for a real estate company and I brought it in page 1-3 in yahoo and 1-3 in msn for highly competitive keywords and top 100 in google with page rank 3(achieved for three months) but I didn`t get my 10 000 dolars(that was the deal) so I went mad and I quit SEO biz at all.One month ago I started a website again and today it`s on 1st page in yahoo for `electronic music download` among 218,000,000 pages and free electronic music downloads among 88,900,000 pages. It is www.future-club.org So I wasn`t in touch with SEO biz last 5 years and I am wondering shall I try again. My question is since google brings the most of the traffic can I consider the results for that website for big achievement or it is nothing this days.
If you had any conversions, no matter where the traffic is coming from, then you should keep on doing it. Measure your results in $ no in rankings.
For some reason I do find yahoo easier to get ranked in than google. Congrats on your success!! Hard work does pay off.
I believe there is small percentage of people who use yahoo search engine. Make your site available for google 1st page. Thats the real challenge.
Keep going at it. Achieving number one is amazing, however unless you've recieved payments, it's a blank gun, so I recommend selling the site if you aren't bring in monthly payments
the real challenge is ranking in google. I rank on 1st page of yahoo for a tv show website (entourage to b precise) but still on the 4-5th page on google.
That's great but honestly doesn't mean a lot. I had a website that was ranked #1 on Yahoo for a certain keyphrase among 100M others, but my traffic ranking was still low. It's not the number of results, it's the number of searches that matter.
Because Mostly peoples like to use Something Via Google And just some peoples like to use yahoo search ... So Good Serp at google is more important then Yahoo ... but its not mean that yahoo is just worthless
