Well, I started my website for my film business, and I wanted to host a forum for general entertainment discussion along with a site for filmmakers to talk and discuss ideas tips and tricks. I am trying to figure out some ways to get noticed other than going to other entertainment websites and saying HEY JOIN....

    (http://forums.dynamicfilms.net - forums http://www.dynamicfilms.net - main)

I submitted to google, bing, and yahoo using their webmaster tools, but i'm looking for some other ideas...
    I looked into IPBSEO (http://communityseo.com/ipb_seo.htm)

My main want is hits to the forum, not so much the main site because I can only cater my services to a really local audience right now, since I'm in school... but I really just want an interactive forums.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Generally forums take a long time to build a dedicated userbase.
1.First identify the best forums related to your niche.Register and start participating in discussions.Identify active persons in those forums.Offer them a moderator position in your own forum. They will be happy to do it for free, since they all want is recognition.
2.Also post your website link in those forums. But dont spam.
3.Post unique content in your forums. If you follow these, your forum will be active within three to sixmonths.

What suggestions would you have for unique content? General or specific ideas?
