First month at Blogging = 33$ W000T !!

It's My first month at blogging on blogger (actually one month and 1 week) ... I did work a lot at achieving this, many hours of work to customize the blog template, produce content, promote the blog, etc... but Im happy about the results so far nevertheless

Whats your posting frequency? Is it consistent?

Are you getting any search traffic, or are they all from backlinks?

Sounds like an awesome start, and I see you have comments. Can I ask where the ads are though? All I see is a google search bar.

 

Lol, I was just like you, full of questions when I didint have a blog or a way to make money...

If i would get paid 10$ per hour for Customizing my blog,submitting blog to directories, writing posts, commenting on other blogs, posting on forums, surfing traffic exchanges, then I would have had more than 1'000$ for sure...but I guess most of this is considered like fun to me, and In the end im proud of what I did.

I started the blog with 3-4 "articles" in about section, contact us section, etc, the basic pages of my blog... I average 1 post per week, now that im on vacation will probably bring it to two posts per week and probably more sometimes, but between blog posts Im blog commenting and trying to promote the blog and get more google friendconnect followers and subscribers.

If you dont see adsense right at this moment its because i took off the adsense ads, ive been blowing all my traffic exchange credits in a few days so took off adsense not to get a warning or get banned.

Would like to hear about other blogger's incomes or how they progress, cheers

Read my reply, I said that I took out the adsense for a bit for not getting a warning or ban because I was using traffic exchanges for a few days and using them in same time as adsense is against adsense tos

what did you do to promote teh blog. DId you just write good content and it just got picked up?

Im in a pretty competitive niche right now so no search traffic, just free promotion wherever I can get. I then get followers and subscribers and then they come back to the site after a new post. I see a good bunch of blogs with lots of good content but no traffic probably because they havent been promoted. But right now im starting a new blog in a less competitive niche and will see if I can hit the jackpot in the search engines

 

Congrats, and I really like your blog design (plus that Achilles game is a killer ).
Did you ever think about switching to a custom domain? I'm not sure how this would affect your PR (does Google "promote" its own domains?), mine decreased significantly ever since I switched to custom domain and I had to work hard to return it to its previous level...

blogs don't usually get popular quick, so you must put a lot of effort in it, and many give up too. If you can blog about something that you like then this effort will be like "fun" to you or not that hard and you will likely be to get passionate about your blog and very slowly pile up subscribers or traffic. I would go with a more specific blog in a precise niche with your keyword INTO the domain name because that is very good for search engine optimization and you can hope to get good listings on search engines
