I hate it when people expect these new Android phones to be iPhone killers. I think these phones are just like PCs: some people will use Windows and some prefer Macs. It's great that there are now alternatives to the iPhone, but I don't think, or expect, one phone to kill any other phone. I personally HATE the iPhone because my boss and his bratty son have one and I constantly have to baby their phones to work with our email servers. I'm a Systems Administrator, not a damn phone tech. I recently purchased a Droid and haven't had a single issue with it. And I personally still recommend that people buy a Droid. Google really screwed up on selling the Nexus One. It does have better hardware, but I really don't see that much of an improvement over my Droid. They will both have the same OS version soon too. The Droid can do all the same things while costing a lot less (I got mine for $150) and Verizon really is just a better carrier. And the Early Termination Fee is just retarded on the Nexus One. It really just comes down to preferences. I like the Android OS because I'm a computer nerd/developer and it's really cool to help fix an OS that isn't perfect. The open development structure of the Android OS and marketplace is what does it for me.
Wow..! Exact same story with me (minus the son), the boss and a couple other folks have Blackberry's and it seems like I spent more time tinkering with their precious phones than I do with the server. Annoying to no end how some people just refuse to learn how their own gadgets work.
