my suggestion:decrease the gradient.it makes the top portion of the text white...

Its quite decent looking.

 

Your logo design looks pretty good. If the topic of your site can be incorporated in your logo design somehow, this might make it stand out a bit more. For example, if you are selling cars, you can use tire icons where the O;s are.

text logo is good. but according to my reading its much effective to get something to represent your company/site with graphical logo.

The gradient is horrible, the beta badge is ugly, and the font is common-place and unfitting. The reflection adds nothing to the design and serves to make it appear congested. Sorry but this is a very bad logo.

It is however a very good start, try looking at some existing logo designs around the web to learn.

Some tips:
1. Use a better font
2. Use softer gradients
3. Lose the reflection or at least decrease its opacity to 10%or less.
4. Use better colors

 

Is pretty, but need to be fixed.

- The font

But is pretty, and the blue is a standard color.

 

As this is your first logo. It seems to very good
