Yeah, you should be very careful with PPC... It's really great tool if used properly. If not, you can spend all money n no result ;-/

I got an Adword coupon when I signed up with a web hotel, though that I
    might try how it works.
Created an ad and BOOM! all $50 was gone in less than one hour.

So, Adwords works, but you need a lot and I mean A LOT of money to
get any revenue if you ever will though.

Adwords is a great tool, but you need to use it properly otherwhy's you are going to a lose a hell lot of money. I know guys that make a living from promoting PPC on there site and promoot themself with PPC, google and try to learn more about adwords, some tips and tricks will work out.. Try to read alot about this subject and you might find yourself a good marketer and make some money off it. Like my friends do. (some of them are 3 years into Google business and some of them are making instant money, just depents on what person you are)

adword is still a good promotion tool. But, if you're promoting high competitive product, you might have to pay more to get on top spot without a guarantee of click conversion. In the end, you might spend more than you earn. Anyway, good luck with your ads campaign. With a little but of luck, adword might treat you well..

Adwords is great tool but it is more complex on some phrases than people think. That is why people like me get paid crazy cash to run campanies. Anyways to your problem: you need to set higher cpc to get in sponsor top links not sidebar. Thing is then your little budget [trust me this IS little!] may fly in a second. Make good target phrase keywords. Use " " and [ ]

You can earn good money using Adwords. Try to carefully research your keywords, try long-tailed ones (sometimes they are a real goldmine), but just do it with cold heart and hot hands :> Don't give up, there any many ways to earn online. You just need to find YOUR way.

People may not know this but adwords is not only about optimization. True optimization helps a lot, but luck counts so much too!!

Adword is not effective if you are pursuing a highly competitive market with a $50 dollar budget...your competitors will outrank you every time and even click on your ads to find out if you are promoting the same product. The key is to find a niche where you can get 10% cost per click for the commission you will receive.

Do not bid too high - although Google will often adjust this and lower your bid

One of the biggest mistakes people make when they first use adwords is stopping campaigns around 30 clicks. I know because I've made this same mistake when I first started. There is a rule that marketers use when doing ppc campaigns.

First off, you need an equation to figure your CPC vs. what you will make on a sale. Other wise your just gambling. This equation has a baseline that almost all PPC users use.

100 clicks = 1 sale [worst case scenario] until proven other wise later....

Another words... if your commission or sale = $30 for one sale, your cost per click should be below $.30.

    $.30 a click x 100 clicks = $30

Now this is the rule i use on all my campaigns and before I even run a adwords campaign, my CPC for 100 clicks should not exceed my earnings for 1 sale. Not letting your campaign run past 100 clicks means you never know if it will convert. Ofcourse after you get around 200 clicks and still haven't made a sale... its time to change something.

Getting your CPC low is where the trick is. Google Adwords not only grades you on relevancy, but more than anything else, account history weighs more on your quality score on keywords than relevancy does. Why? IDK I know this for a fact running other peoples campaigns on other accounts where on one account I get a QS of 3 and on another I get QS of 8 on the same campaign. The higher your QS the lower your CPC will be unless it is flooded with competition.

Don't over bid and pay the GOOGLE STUPID TAX. Make sure your 100% relevant and zone in on lazer targeted keywords and build up your account history. I hope this helps...

BTW... position 1 is usually tire kickers.... go for position 3.

Ya, Adword is still a relative good PPC tool. Besides the bid price, in order to sell your product, you need to have good keywords where most people will search through the search engine. You title block will need to be simple and attractive too.

Refine keywords, set a monthly, not daily limit. And everything will work out fine. Have catchy ads that have the keywords in them. That's what I do and its been working so far.
