First Class Niche Directory, PR3 and Growing

Link Christmas is the collaborative effort of 30+ established Christmas websites running eSyndicat software. In less than a year the directory has been hand built and promoted within the Merry Network.

We are looking for an active owner to keep the site within the network and grow it as a Christmas niche directory. We already believe this is the best of its kind online but know that for it to reach the next level we need an active owner to take us there.

The site draws anywhere from 500-2k uniques a day right now but realistically do not expect that in the offseason (staying connected within our network helps).

The sale of the site is inclusive of the domain name, the directory software license and all content, design and graphics as presently constituted.

The site is making revenue and that's none of your business. The site is about 7 months old and still in it's infancy, so revenue is admittedly no great shakes. The site does have a solid PR3 ranking and we expect that to grow.

We prefer to keep this site within the network and are looking for the right owner with both experience in operating and growing niche directories and with the willingness to utilize our network resources to achieve mutual goals.

If we receive a reasonable offer we will provide to the new owner:

1. Free hosting for the site for 1 year.
2. Crosslink promotion with our network
3. Promotional use of our network newsletter with more than 25k subscribers
4. Revenue sharing of network-wide ads sold year round

We are looking for offers over $500 and would like some background information on our prospective buyers. We need an experienced webmaster who is a self starter that can work within the standards of a well established network of Christmas sites first established online in 1999.

I dont quite get this post.

You are selling your christmas directory, and you want over $500 which is fine i get all that, what i dont get is you want to sell it and tell the new owner how to run it, and background information of them?

but if i was to buy this web directory for over $500 i would be wnting to know what it earned and stats ( proof )

why if your selling it? i mean if the new owner bought it and it didnt work out and it went into the ground isnt that there problem? why would you need an experienced webmaster if you are selling it?

to me this post seems like you want to sell it though want the new owner to run it the way you want to.

Please forgive me if i am wrong though from what i have read it just seems abit wierd for me.

Sorry if I haven't been clear.

This is a premium domain. And being in this business for as long as we have we know the need a site like this fills in our niche. The problem with most Christmas directories out there is that they are either watered down with non-Christmas links, they sit neglected for months at a time, they don't weed out dead links or they only actively promote the site during the Christmas season. That kind of directory doesn't suit what we know is a year-round active niche online.

We're looking for someone who knows the directory business and will utilize the resources of the network to update it, promote it and grow it year round.

We're not interested in telling any owner how to run their site. We have more than a dozen webmasters running sites within our network and not a one of them is told how to run their site. We do ask that strong standards are upheld within the network. We can't blindly link porn sites to Christmas sites, can we? So we have some operational standards that must be met and these standards can well be discussed with any potential buyer.

As for revenue proof I will provide some ball park figures but terms of service with affiliates and Google prohibit me from sharing specifically what revenue has been. Traffic stats are not an issue.

As for our need for an experienced webmaster to run this site I believe we're looking for a buyer who will see the resources of the network and work with us in free cross-promotion for mutual benefit. We don't want to maintain link directories on our own Christmas sites -- we want one expert site to do that. We are largely a co-op of content-driven webmasters and none of us have the time for this project alone. We are hoping to find an experienced directory owner who gets the vision of this thing to work it in cooperation with us and maybe make a nickel or two along the way. Alot of people here make and sell sites. This is a site that comes built-in with a network of regular users via four of the most popular Christmas forums on the Internet, the largest newsletter subcriber base of it's kind and a growing network of blogs over which to cross-promote and to serve readers of all our sites at the same time.

What would make this directory from other niche directories out there is that this one doesn't have to stand on it's own. With 30+ dedicated sites already feeding active traffic to LinkChristmas.com we think this site represents a good and growing opportunity for someone with directory expertise.

Perhaps this forum is the wrong place to market such an idea.
