I am starting my first adwords campaign and I wanted to get some critiques on my landing page and what I should do to maximize my returns. I own and operate a small IT consulting firm and I wanted to generate more business, I plan to reinvest all my profits back into my advertising campaign (granted it is successful). I have picked my keywords (and they are pricey in this field 6-9$ a click) so thus I want to ensure the best response possible. On my main page, which will be the landing page, I have a form that people can fillout on the right to have someone contact them for a free consultation. Should I change my page? Make it more "salesie". What suggestions would you have. I personally bill $80/hr for my services, with the average client spending $200-300 a month in services. So if I can get this right, this would be WELL worth it! So at that assumed average and the CPC that is quoted, I would need to land 1 job per 28 clicks to break even, however, I don't mind operating in the red for a while (so long as it isnt TOO much if the clients I generate are repeat customers of my services) My site: www.lm-tek.com
Here are some ideas: 1) Start small in AdWords - start by targeting your niche/specialty only. Maybe you're an expert in repairing "Network Optimization" - focus on that only for now. 2) Your page has to be more salesly - but you should also have targeted pages for everything you're doing. Use AdWords to make them land on the right page. 3) Try and clearly point out what makes you unique form the other companies on the net (that's another reason why you should start targeting your niche/specialty first). your competitors average income per sale is much higher also you need to consider the lifetime value of each new client If they spend $200 per month for 1 year that's $2400 per sale average lifetime value. Now your cost per conversion has much more room but as i said, your competitors are charging much more
