    Not exactly a niche or high visitors, but will get me started.

    Put a few posts and some adsense etc, so hopefully, will go well.

    Any tips for a newbie?

    Take part in communities such as DP as you'll learn more. Also take part in blogger communities as these will boost your knowledge about blogging too (see link in sig)
