WRONG I started December last year and already made some good money thru SEO. PPC is good for newbies wanting to make money like "RIGHT NOW" but if you make mistakes its costly - where with SEO you make mistakes you lose nothing
And you dont have to wait months to get listed I got listed in 2 hours!! Only a person thats never done SEO (PPC user) would experience that problem!!!
You lose time. Time is just as valuable as money. I'm not saying SEO isn't worth it. I would love to be in SEO rather than PPC. PPC pays my bills, buys me cars, and keeps me happy.
my friend is going to do it the PPC way but he has no knowledge in it. I think hell lose money - might need you for a mentor!!
I think in the PPC business, its pretty much guaranteed that you will lose money initially during the learning process.
Actually, PPC is bad for newbies wanted to make money "right now". It doesn't work like that. Some may get lucky, but there is a lot of testing and research to do. Just like in SEO, PPC also takes time to be profitable.
Well my friend is quitting his job now coz he saw I was making money online so he wants to do it too. I'll refer him to this forum for help coz I dont want him to lose money doing this.
Only a person who never done PPC (you) would say this. I can get listed in half hour, but that listing would not bring me any traffic, considering that you need some SEO work to get listed for keywords with a lot of competition. One thing is sure:both games are not for newbies
Hi Trypp and all! Nice post - great motivation. Is there any chance you can PM your LP designer. It would be great to have someone good when outsourcing becomes affordable. I've been a member before but my log in for DP has disappeared from RoboFOrm, so had to join up again today. Mystery, eh!
One more thing I should say is - don't forget about your health, 7 days a week, and 14 hours per day during 1-2 years can make great damage to it. Time to take a little rest.
SEO vs PPC? Why not both? It's not like they exclude one another. Personally I'm more into SEO, because I'm clueless about PPC and don't have the income to start "testing" stuff at a loss. But I'm definitely going to try ppcing in the future.
Awesome thread, very inspirational! Trypp, could you PM your LP designer, I would appreciate it. Also do you use googles content network?
SEO vs PPC sounds like the old "turtle vs the rabbit" fable... except the time it takes the turtle to win google changes the rules and the race starts all over again...
