First 24 hours promoting ebay...

So I started promoting my new non-bans ebay site on the evening of the Nov 25th. I just got my first sales commissions of $14.86 from that day. Yesterday I had 8 registrations, 3 of which have confirmed so far. I guess I'll see what sales I had on the 26th later today or tomorrow? Not sure how the batching works.

Anyway, in my first 24 hours, I made $89.26. I did spend more than that, but I fully expect to recoup once my sales and registrations settle on the 26th.

    Very exciting and promising!

    Nice one :)
    Welcome aboard! :p

The fact that you're getting sales (even if you're paying for them) is a good thing. What script are you using? Or did you write your own using the eBay feed?

That doesn't count does it? :D

Where did you promote your website? Just forums/ stumbles/ digg ?

    Congrats!

You may have spent more than you made but you need to remember that eBay cookies last 7 days. A eBay cpc campaign really needs to be judged based on a week of performance to tell if it made you money or not. You may or may not have made your first profits already.

A wise actor once said, "Assumption is the mother of all f-ups" :)

You can't assume that what happened on day 1 will happen on the following days. You can have 5 active signups one day and none for the next week, I've seen that before.

When I use PPC I don't judge it on daily basis but at the end of the month, its then that I know if I'm in the green or in the red.

I am using PHPBay on a Wordpress blog.

I know how much days can fluctuate, I am a professional SEMer by day :)

Anyway... I launched on Sunday night, had about 200 clicks via PPC. Had over 1000 clicks yesterday. 8 sign ups (3 active). Looking forward to see how it all pans out over the next week or so.

So far I've only promoted via PPC. Going to try some other methods tonight!

I just started using PHPBay Pro too (yesterday)... I'm liking it a lot so far. I also bought the API thing but haven't looked into that yet.

I know about BANS... is there any other choice for an eBay niche store that is recommended? I seem to remember seeing something here about another one, but I can't seem to find it now.

Hi husnehpet - I am paying on average $.12 per click.

Just an update since I have Monday & Tuesday sales in now. I am up to $320 in commission. Definitely in the green right now. Awesome!!

I am noticing that stats are delayed. I seem to get my sales numbers for 2 days prior in the middle of the night. Is this normal? For example, I just woke up and checked my account, and sales have posted for Tuesday, but I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to see Wednesday's. However, I see ACRUs every 10-12 hours.

great work... yes the ebay - cj reporting can vary a lot, very frustrating, but as you say acru's can be almost 2/3 hours lag, all quite normal. if you have'nt yet digg, stumble etc your site and also put some social bookmarks there, should help quite a bit with some free traffic.
    good luck

    nice good work!

must be an interesting and pricey niche. . my campaigns seem to struggle to make a ROI.

using adwords or one of the others?

    Nice job Sarah

I am also using PHPBay Pro. I really like using wordpress especially since you can change themes easily. I am going to try to get my second store up and running this weekend.
