So I'm using Adobe Fireworks CS4 on Windows 7. It's giving me a lot of problems. One is sometimes when I hide a layer or group, the program acts as if I've actually deleted the layers, so when I click the little eye icon again to un-hide them, they are still gone, in fact layers in a group are completely gone. Sometimes layers just randomly disappear, and later occasionally will come back. Also when I export websites, often the images get stretched way out of proportion. There's a way around this but it's more of a pain than it should be: when using the export wizard you have to play around with the size it exports as some. Seems to me it should automatically know what size images are actually supposed to be, and not distort them to weird proportions to begin with, I never had this issue with Photoshop. Is there an easier way around this problem? Anyone else use this program? Anyway to deal with these bugs? I haven't been able to find a fix for them. I'm using this program more so that I can teach other people to use it whom want to learn, I mostly use Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Notepad++, but unfortunately need this program to work too.
