Is style the only reason why you pick one browser rather than the other?

I found Opera to be totally useless and the style looks very 1998. It wasn't worth my time to customize, as FF is already heavily customized and the plug-ins are amazing. I don't think it's an even contest, but glad someone is finding a use for Opera.
Firefox is probably my favorite application and the one I use the most. With the right plug-ins, you hardly need anything else.

I've only used Opera on the Wii. I don't have any problems with firefox. I don't really care about the style. If I'd been worried about style I'd have never chosen Firefox over IE and never would have made the switch. I think what companies have to realize that functionality is what really matters.

I'm a firefox user. I like the plugins for firefox especially one called SearchStatus which shows me the page rank for any website I go to, but the best part is it shows if a particular page uses the nofollow tag on its links. That is very helpful while building links for page rank.

I use both because some websites require you to use a certain browser....

But I think Opera is better

I use Firefox and I love it cos of the extensions available for it but opera is also good especially the speed dial thingy and also, it blocks all popups.

Opera is a good browser especially bandwidth control plugin. I like it to some extent but it can't really beat Firefox (great features)

To the OP: If you don't like the style , just download a new theme ;) That might work for you.

Well ya firefox doesn't look really good, but you bet your life it's much better then the good looking opera. Did you ever try opera with forums, I don't know but it's disgusting down here.

What you talking abt dude. I jusssss love opera! Iam right now on opera and everything is damn good. I just love these mouse animations... it makes a site look much cooler :). A year or so ago, i was using firefox and i thought that was really good, all the security, addons, etc., i didnt wanted to try opera actually and gave me the sickest feeling when i used it first. But after some days, i was really hooked to opera, i like the "new tab" before the tabs, so that with only one mouse click, one can access different site, in firefox, u will open a tab in two clicks, this is what wat matters to me most. Also i personally hate all the toolbars that firefox comes with and doesnt seem to go away, I dislike stumbleupon too.

If I've said it once, I'll say it 17 more times - FF bogs down way too much for me on my LT. Maybe it's the extensions or whatever but it's ridiculous. So while it chews into 300-360MB of memory here comes the "unresponsive script errors" - it gets old but quick!

Opera runs circles around FF/IE. I could give a crap about looks, it's all about performance
