In response to that thread, we have a new competitor and i think alot of people have changed there minds recently.

Chrome is a new addition to browsers and has made a good impression.
I had already started this thread on OfficeForums but i think it will has alot of views here also.

There are also smaller browsers like Opera which do really good, but aren't as main stream yet.

What is your favorite browser? Is it still the same before you heard or chrome or opera?
If you haven't tried chrome or opera yet, i think you should give it a shot.

Hmm, I always like open source as it seems that you can get much cooler plugs with thousands of developers.

    Just my two cents

I always go with IE at home and firefox at work. The reason is I have got used with IE from beginning so I prefer using it at home. The plug ins are the reason for using firefox at work. And I have never tried chrome even though I have, may be I might go with it in future.

Chrome is light weight but lacks add-ons... so firefox leads the race. IE is a memory hog.

FireFox also uses alot of memory, you guys should give Opera a shot. They also have plenty of add-ons available.

    I use Maxthon, from maxthon.com
I love the extra little features like mouse gestures and ad blocking. I never really cared for Firefox for some reason.

I am yet to give opera or chrome a try...and have been with firefox since ages now.

I do not usually try to change the basic programs too often and hence having been satisfied with FF, I see no reason of trying something else.

Stability is much more important to me...i guess!

I actually have all three of these browsers setup on my laptop. Here are my rankings...

    1) Google's Chrome - Recently added this and have been extremely impressed. In my experience, it is the fastest and I like the popular visited screenshots it fires up. It can be a little iffy at times on certain sites, but I think I prefer it as the default browser.

    2) Microsoft's I.E - The quality of the graphics is good and I like the simple layout. It is the slowest of the three and has a few bugs, but I do use it often. Have been having a problem with Javascipt and sometimes it goes mental, opening endless new browsers and all I can do is switch off.

    3) Mozilla's Firefox - Is a good browser, but I just can't appreciate the graphics. The quality is poor and it makes even flagship websites look tacky. I have never been able to get used to the bookmarking either. It is quite speedy though.

With graphics, efficiency and speed - Google tops the chart (as always)!:)
