What does IE offer in terms of SEO besides 3rd party toolbars (most of which are also available for Firefox)?

I think FF has better future, but now I think they are equal, because much of users still use IE.

I really do not see how either browser affects SEO by itself. However if you are developing a web site, use firefox and all of the available extensions (firebug is my fav), but do not neglect IE. In my opinion since the majority of interwebtube users are using IE, you should be familiar with how sites and web-apps work through BOTH browsers (and opera, and safari, too). If your site/app performs well on all browsers, you will have more traffic, thus more real links, and as a result, better serps.

Firefox because IE is prone to spywares or adwares...
And most SEO and webmasters are relying to firefox because of it's usefullness...

And there's a script which can make IE crash...

Not only for that reason. There are also add-ons and functions in FF that IE won't have.

Your site must be optimised to display correctly in all browsers, but I agree with most posters so far - FF is great due to the plugins and addons available.

I'll admit Firefox has a lot of nice features, but (from a programmer's perspective), Internet Explorer is unmatched for SEO.

The high memory usage of FF doesn't help either.

I hate to say it, but put me in the M$ camp with IE.

FF here, IE is such a dumbo. for strange reasons many css stuff needs to be coded separately.

I prefer using firefox...but i'm always promoting IE, cause if everyone start to use FF with adsense blocker and stuff...everyone will be screwed..... :(
