Give it a couple years and Microsoft will steal everything that's good about Firefox (like they stole Windows from Apple and IE from Netscape - and just about every other product they sell) - and then put Firefox out of business...

FireFox doesn't make money, so it take really be taken out of business. Plus, Windows will never make an Open Source project, so FireFox and the other Mozilla projects'll be safe.

They make a small amount of money from selling merchandise and the rest of the bandwidth, etc is donated.

Agreed and you are 100% correct with regards to the extra work involved with AJAX just to get things working properly.

All FF needs to do is add the 'close' button from the rightside onto each of the tabs like IE beta3 and it'll be complete. Regardless though, I won't be going back to IE ever. I only use it to check work to ensure everything is lining up properly from a design point of view. (which we know it never renders right and makes for extra work from that angle as well)

Currently using Firefox , Opera and Maxathron(New browser).

Firefox has a problem in memory leak

Opera is still using old technology in browsing sites which results slowness.

Maxthron is still under development but has lots of options in it.

I prefer Netscape the old one is the best one :)

Your statement about Opera is a blatent lie - was going to be nice but what the heck, am in that mood right now. Justify your statement...

Slowness - dude, you even read any technology websites? Opera has come out fastest in every review done so far comparing browsers.

    Again, justify your statement...

    I'll justify mine -
    Speed - http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/browserSpeed.html#winspeed
ACID2 test (your old technology statement is blown away here) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid2

Did you know that Noikia plans to use Opera on their mobiles (mini-opera - try it). Did you know The new Nintendo Wii are using Opera for their browser?

Hardly seems like these companies are investing so much in "old technology"

I've tried the new beta IE and I'm just not impressed with it at all, nothing there to make me want to stop using FF. So it's FF for me as well!

Opera is very slow compared with Fox and IE, opera is clean, ITS STARTS UP faster, takes far lesser resources.. compared to anyother browser I know off..

But Opera is very slow, I dont care for other people's test. On my comp it loads website almost 50% slower than fox does. So not for me.. However, its good to have around.. just when u hit one of those days where FF crashes...

A hardcore Foxer all the way!!!!!!!

And yeah I forgot to mention, I found firefox by chance some two years back.. and i love trying new softwares and then junking them.. I've stuch with FF for so long... ahhh just love it... wish it takes lesser resources.. and crashes lesser.... but then with a dual core proc and 1 gig ram.. who cares about resources :p
